I love garlic. I love it because it tastes good and, if I can believe the research, it is exceptionally good for me. Studies have shown that it has anti-inflammatory properties, which you might find ironic when you try Pain is Good’s Garlic Style Hot Sauce: it burns, and, well, inflames the mouth.
But the company doesn’t call itself Pain is Good for nothing. They consistently make sauces that, even when they’re hot enough to make your tastebuds scream for mercy, deliver interesting flavor combinations that add tons of character to everyday foods.
I am also in love with the packaging. Kraft paper label, flask-shaped bottle, and a black-and-white photo depicting the facial expression you’ll form when you taste this sauce. When this bottle runs out, I am planning on cleaning it out and using it to make my own chili-infused vodka right inside. I have high hopes that the end result will be as fun to drink as this sauce is to eat.
